Class of 1/6/13

Happy New Year and welcome back to our first class of the New Year.

Today we divided the class up into two groups.

The group playing in the Republic Day Ensemble got to practice "Jana Gana Mana", "Star Spangled Banner"

and "Hum Honge" on their instruments. My daughter Sruti helped us out with the sheet music and will be

leading the group in the Republic Day celebrations. Thanks Sruti!

Sheet music for Alto Sax and Trombone needed corrections. I am attaching the corrected sht music to this post and is also available in the Audio Library. If you have any issues that I haven't addressed, contact me at the earliest.

The other group who will be singing these songs practiced singing them. Thanks Shubha and Sowmya for

helping out. During this session its come to our attention that some of you do not know the lyrics of

"Jana Gana Mana". Everyone needs to print and memorize "Jana Gana Mana".

I am assuming you already know the "Star Spangled Banner" , if not this is a good time to learn it.
